Questions
Light. Watch. Guess. Everything else you might want to know.
What is Burnle?
Burnle is a tiny daily guessing game. A paper thing, like a sticky note, a paper crane or a receipt, catches fire and burns away. When the fire is out, you guess what percent of it burned.
How do I play?
Press Light it and watch the flame eat the paper. Then move the slider to your guess and press Guess. Black and gone both count as burned; paper that has only turned brown doesn't. The real percent counts up, and the burned part is shown as a hatched outline.
How is my guess scored?
The closer, the more points: 100 for spot on, about 88 if you are 5 off, 61 if you are 10 off and 14 if you are 20 off. Five rounds make a day, so the best score is 500.
What is the daily Burnle?
Every day there are five new paper things, the same for everyone, in the same order. Each day has a number, starting with Burnle #1 on 25 October 2026, and a new one starts at midnight, your local time. Play every day to keep your streak going.
Can I keep playing after the daily five?
Yes. Press Play more for five more things picked at random. They don't change the day's score. There are 58 paper things in all, from origami to a crossword, a boarding pass and a tea bag.
How do I share my result?
Press Share after the fifth round. You get a line with the day's number, your points and five squares that don't give the answers away: 🟩 up to 3 off, 🟨 up to 8 off, 🟧 up to 15 off and 🟥 further than that.
Is Burnle free?
Yes. There are no ads, no account and no in-app purchases.
Can I install Burnle or play offline?
Yes. On a computer, choose Install in the address bar of Edge or Chrome, or Install Burnle at the bottom of the page, and Burnle opens in its own window. On a phone, choose Add to Home screen in Chrome, or Share and then Add to Home Screen in Safari. After the first visit it works without internet. On a computer you can also pop it out into a small window that stays on top while you work.
Which languages does Burnle speak?
English, Polski, Deutsch and Español. It picks your browser's language, and you can change it in the menu, together with a light or dark theme and the sound.
Does Burnle collect my data?
No. Your guesses and settings stay on your device and are never sent anywhere. There are no cookies; we only count visits, anonymously, with Cloudflare Web Analytics. The privacy page explains the details. Read the privacy page.
